Unformatted text preview: Ryan Rooney English 15 Making Connections Connection between Smith and Gladwell Smith and Gladwell agree and disagree on different types of lying, but they also agree with each other that all humans lie. Smith and Gladwell both agree that all humans lie in some way to either get them out of trouble or to get something they wanted or just to lie because that’s all they now how to do. They are alike and can tell they agree that everyone lies because Gladwell write this whole book on the facial expressions people make and how you can tell if they are lying or have a fake impression on. Gladwell then came up with the Facial Action Coding System, or FACS. This is all written up in a 500 page binder that has every facial expression you could think of. On the other hand, Smith wrote Natural Born Liars, which I think you can get the hint it might be about lying. He talked about how we lie to ourselves everyday now if you’re thinking no I don’t lie well think about these things you may do that you are lying...
