1 Psychology 100 18 April 2019 Is Seeing Believing? The brain and the eyes work together to translate light into color. Light receptors in the eye send messages to the brain to give us the perception of color. Color isn’t apart of things, it’s just the way objects reflect light that allows us to see it. For example, my couch that is grey isn’t actually grey at all, the surface of the couch is just reflecting wavelengths that I see as grey. The most interesting segment for me was the vibrating belt, where they created a new sense by conditioning a man's body to feel vibrations when he was going a certain direction. I had thought that creating a new sense was impossible considering its something that we’re born
