In choosing commercials there should basis for comparison; therefore, I opted to select from three separate decades: 1980 Reagan v. Mondale; 1996 Clinton v. Dole, and; 2008 Obama v. McCain. A major difference between Ronald Reagan commercial and Clinton/Obama was the presentation itself. Ronald Reagan had a narrator who praised Reagans’ work as Governor of California. While both Clinton and Obama narrated and presented their own values and current/historical political efforts. Clinton was an excellent speech writer and his message was a shining example of his ability to write; he presented present and future goals. For instance, “$1500 TAX CREDIT FOR COLLEGE TUITION/JOB TRAINING and PROTECT CHILDREN FROM TOXIC WASTE.” Both Reagan and Obama’s commercial, while brief, were to the point and clearly written by a third party. Reagan central focus was on how he can improve a failing economy by stating “Governor Reagan became the greatest tax reformer in the state's (California) history.”

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
