PageWell 2.0 MARKET REQUIREMENTS
Stakeholders In the Learning institutions In the learning environment for the various learning institutions including those specializing in Business administration, there are usually three primary stakeholders: Students, faculty members including the professors, and the administrators. Students: With respect to PageWell, the students are their clients as they are the ones who will end up purchasing the course materials in the different units in the courses that they are pursuing. Faculty: the faculty members including the professors and their assistants serve the key role of selecting the appropriate learning materials pertinent to a particular course and unit as well as guiding in the utilization of the various course materials. Administrators: the administrators of the various learning institutions are responsible for making policies which will govern the adoption of the learning approaches and selecting the appropriate features and facilities to implement learning experiences.
Traditional Learning and Teaching Behavior Traditional Learning and teaching activities had various characteristics: The first characteristic is that the primary mode of interaction between the students and the professors was through personal encounters. The students took hand written notes during class sessions or used their printed course materials to highlight text or make annotations. The professors distributed printed students handouts during class sessions. Students were required to purchase books whereby the professors provided navigational aid in terms of which chapters to focus on. The grading of the course assessments was done on printed papers so that the instructor could provide localized feedback on specific areas of the assessment. When students wanted to convert their printed learning materials into a form that was easier to store in computer drives, they are left with the option of scanning.
Challenges of the Traditional Learning and Teaching Behavior The traditional learning and teaching activities presented both the professors and the students with various challenges: The first challenge is the difficulty that is encountered in transforming the printed information into forms that can be stored on computer drives.
