1.What are the advantages and disadvantages of IHG’s virtual leadership development program forthe company? For employees?The advantages is it is a way for the managers and leaders across the country to be able to helpeach other with best practices. They are able to post things they learn from experiences and helptheir fellow managers learn from their mistakes or best practices. I feel one of the disadvantages is they do not get face time with those other managers.Sometimes being able to see each other face to face and build relationships can be very helpfulin developing leaders. Online learning is great but I think you need a mixture of online learningand face-to-face learning. 2.Many companies are using a blended approach for employee development. That is, they areusing both face-to-face and technology-aided training and development activities for leadershipdevelopment.
