As I meet with the literacy team at my school I presented them with the data that I had been collecting on my literacy student. The team consisted of the academic coach, the reading interventionist and other grade group leaders. The data that I collected on my literacy learner informed the group that this student did not need any phonics instructions so therefore she did not need small group instruction from the Differentiation Box like some of the students in the class. The student was able to put the beginning and final sounds together to form words and shecould also do if for nonsense words, such /t/ /i/ /b/ which when all the sounds are put together they form /tib/. The academic coach agreed with the data that was presented that the student did not need further instruction in phonics instruction. So, the next data that I introduced to the teamwas the student Dynamic Indicator of Basic Early Literacy Skills Assessment (DIBELS) was heroral reading fluency score.
