HROB*2010 Recommendations When leaders fail to lead, the consequences are often significant enough to allow their organization to fail. Without a proper strategic vision and with a lack of ability to provide direction to their team, the team will not be able to deliver their potential team results. This is said to be the downfall of Marissa Mayer. Once Mayer was thrown under the pressure, she unfortunately froze up and lost sight of the strategic vision (Frommer, 2015). Base on the analysis of this situation, what strategic course of action might Mayer improve to correct the situation? Unfortunately, it might be too late for Mayer to correct her mistakes with Yahoo!, as Yahoo! has been bought out by Verizon, but it is never too late for Mayer to take action to make the right choices from here on out. Don’t get it wrong, Mayer did in fact make many progressive changes to the firm. As Yahoo! was struggling, she stepped in, took things into her own hands, and began starting to turn things around. This success was thanks to her experience at Google,
