Log in to your newly created AWS account and take a screenshot of the AWS Management Console (Dashboard) and embed it below. The screenshot should include the username you created during setup. 2. Launch a Windows Virtual Machine (VM). Provide a detailed overview of the steps required to install the Microsoft Windows operating system on the VM. The steps may be listed in bullet points or complete sentences. Use as much space as required. Finally, take a screenshot of the desktop and embed it below. -Log in to your AWS account. -Go to the EC2 dashboard and select “Launch Instance”. -Select Microsoft Windows Server 2019 Base 64-bit (free tier eligible) -Select General Purpose, t2.micro (free tier eligible) -We will keep the default setting, so click “Review and Launch” at the bottom of the screen. -Leave the default settings and click the “Launch” button at the bottom of the screen. -A pop-up window will appear for you to configure a key pair. You will have three options: When the pop-up appears, select “Create a new key pair” and name it whatever you like. - Select “Download Key Pair” (Save file and remember where it is saved) - Click “Launch Instances” -On the next page, click “View Instances” to see the instance that you just created. Upon completion of this assignment, export your file as a PDF and upload to the LEO/Assignments folder.

After the Instance is launched, it is time to download the Remote Desktop Protocol client by selecting “Download Remote Desktop File”. -To connect to the Windows virtual machine, a user name and password is needed. The default user name is Administrator. To attain the password, click “Get Password”. -To obtain the password, locate the key pair that was previously created. Within the Key Pair Path, select “Choose File” and browse to the file where the key pair was stored and select “Open”. The Key Pair should appear in the text box. Click on the “Decrypt Password” box next to the text box. -Save the Windows server admin credentials used for logging in wherever you can easily access them. You can choose to copy the password so that you can paste it within the password box when prompted during the connection to the virtual machine.
