Benchmark - Gospel Essentials
In at least 150 words, complete your introductory paragraph with a thesis statement in
which you will address each of the following six sections with at least one paragraph each.
The Christian worldview is full of wonder and belief involving many parts to make it
whole. The main parts of the Christian worldview involve God himself, us as humanity, the son
of God, Jesus Christ, and the restoration of us as his people. As a Christian I have used these to
form my own worldview similar to that of the Christian worldview. And after learning of each
part, it has strengthened my belief entirely. These essential elements are a foundation also for
many other Christians and each part as intricate as the next to form a whole understanding of
God and this fascinating worldview. Let us all take a look at how each of these topics can play a
part to make up the solid foundation of the whole Christian worldview, and we will reflect on
how they are similar to what my worldview is made up of as well.
God

The one true God of the Christian worldview is amazing and amazingly graceful. The
bible tells us starting in Genesis 1 that everything we see, feel, and touch around us, including
ourselves, is a creation of the one true god. We can also look to the bible to show us that God is
all powerful, all knowing an above everything else, All good. We learn throughout time in the
bible through God’s disciples that he doesn’t want to condemn us as sinners but to save us. We
know this as believers because he always seems to find an out for us even though we deserve
eternal damnation. The final act of grace he needed to perform to save us all as his creation was
to send his son Jesus Christ to die as the lamb for our sins in our place. There is no greater act to
show the love a father has for his children than to make such a sacrifice for them.
Humanity

Diffy (2015) tells us that Human nature involves what humans are made off and how they
relate to the physical universe. This chapter we also learn about the relevance God has to human
nature and thoughts of how Humans relate to the spiritual world as well if you happen to believe
