Managers at Apple Inc. have chosen that a product orientated facility layout is the best choice for them to place all of the material, people and information within the facility. This means that the company makes sure that its products have a “competitive advantage over all other” products in the market that are similar to its own products (Apple’s marketing orientation, n.d). By doing this, it clearly shows that the company has a strong desire or orientation towards its customers where the company ensures that not only are served in the “best possible ways” but are also offered “highly innovative products” (Apple’smarketing orientation, n.d). Through such action, Apple Inc. makes it a point that its technology maintains a “strong orientation” towards its competitors and its competition (Apple’s marketing orientation, n.d). This is accomplished by having a creative market for products that are cutting edge and first of its kind. Since Apple feels that it has a strong “brand image” that has led to having loyal customersthat will purchase its products no matter the cost or quality, this created a disadvantage for the companybecause the quality of the products can be easily compromised since Apple has based much of its products on how the customer feels about Apple. where those who know exactly what they want will be deterred from purchasing its products. One way to improve Apple’s layout is to not focus so heavily on its
