Important Definitions a. Kinematics: motion of objects without consideration of the masses of forces that bring about this motion. Kinematics relates: i. displacement ii. velocity iii. acceleration iv. time b. Kinetics: motion of objects with concern of the forces and interactions that produce or affect the motion. Kinetics relates: i. Forces acting on a body ii. The mass of a body iii. The motion of a body Note: Chapter 11 deals with Kinematics. Chapters 12 and 13 work with Kinetics.
