Q3. In what ways has the lodging consumer changed, and how does Airbnb’s customer value- proposition meet this change?It is no wonder that the lodging consumer is changing. In the past, customers preferto choose hotels or motels as their lodging preference where they get their own private space. They (consumers) now prefer to sharing or renting. Moreover, they (customers)want to feel at home while experience local life. Airbnb provides an online platform which let people rent properties without havingstandard amenities of a hotel. Airbnb not only leveraging technology but also the current change of how consumers interacted with business and how the consumers had deemphasized ownership. The ways Airbnb’s customer value-proposition meet the change of the lodging cosumer:Airbnb makes consumers feeling like they are living like a localHotels have a way of feeling very business while Airbnbs are immersed in neighborhoods, condos, and townhomes. Staying in an Airbnb that makes customers feel like they belong in that city or town.
