Two kinds of brain dysfunctions that have been found to be possibly linked to psychopaths are within the amygdala and posterior cingulate cortex (Blair, 2013). The amygdala is used for moral judgement, so someone that is healthy will have lots of activity, whereas a psychopath will have significantly less activity in the amygdala (Blair, 2013). Also, there is reduced activity towards fearful expressions and during emotional memory examples (Blair, 2013).
