This assignment asks you to work with data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), and the Federal Reserve Economic Database (FRED). 1. From the National Income and Product Accounts, published by the BEA, download quarterly data on the implicit price deflator [Table 1.1.9] from 1959Q1-2018Q4. Then construct a time series for inflation, based on the year-over-year percent change in the implicit price deflator.
