The core values of Whole Foods are very important; they talk about the high quality of their products, selling organic, preservative free products and also products that are environmentally friendly. The 7 core values are a guide for the company on how they achieve the company mission, bringing the highest quality and satisfaction to their customers. In meeting the bar that they set for themselves, Whole Foods actually crafted a segment of competitive advantage that is unique. The following examples demonstrate actions taken by Whole Food that are aligned with its core values: "We sell the highest-quality natural and organic products available" (Whole Foods core value) Whole Foods lists 81 "unacceptable" ingredients that are not sold in its stores, including aspartame, lead soldered cans, and vanillin. It offers more than 25,000 certified organic products and over 8,500 Non-GMO Project-verified products.
