Kim Jalm #1 Identify the three generations most active in today’s workplace, their present age spans, and explain the values and beliefs they tend to share. Covey talks about the three generations most active in today’s workplace. The three generations have been through three different types of values and historical events. The Baby Boom Generation is made up of people born between 1943 and 1961. They have witnessed the Cuban Missile Crisis, Presidential assassinations, and several movements. Certain values and beliefs that shaped this generation are questioning authority, being rebellious, challenging the status quo, and to get on with changes. The 13 th Generation, or Gen X, consists of people born between 1962 and 1981. They have lived through the AIDS epidemic, the fall of Communism, Desert Storm, and the Assassination of John Lennon.
