Being a single parentmy mom felt the need to be persistent in anything and everything I did, she always made sure Ihad the right tools to be on top. Throughout my life, my mom has always made sure I was anactive student in school; like being in clubs, sports, and AP classes my four years of high school.She made sure of this for one reason and one reason only, that I’d get into college. My storywould have been completely different without her, she has pushed me to my limits and pickedme up whenever I’d stumble and fall. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my number onesupporter and best friend, my mom.Today I am a full-time student, in the process of getting a job, renting out my ownapartment, and living with my best friend, Hazel. My mom is my main inspiration andmotivation to do what I do. That girl and I have been through so much together, we haveconquered every hill and climbed every mountain and we still stick together like glue. Growingup living with my grandma, my mom and I were the babied by her. She treated us the same,which made us grow this sisterhood type of bond. (Keep in mind sisters don’t always get along.)We would get into the ugliest fights, then make up two seconds later, building our inseparability.All the fights we’ve had have taught me a lesson, I’ve learned to be more understanding andappreciative of those who help me succeed.There have been several periods in my life which have structured me to become theperson I am today.
