Principles of Organizational Behavior What is organizational behavior? o Organizational behavior is the study of human interactions and behavior within an organization, as well as people amongst other organizations. In relations to any organization, organizational behavior can tell who is going to help the business thrive and be profitable, or who is going to hinder the business. It is all about the way the organization is managed. Key Components of Organizational Behavior o Leadership- Every organization needs leaders. Without leaders, there would be no clear, concise direction of the organization. An effective leader sets attainable goals for the better of the business, creates schedules, motivate and inspire their employees. o Decision-making and Structure- Being able to make the best decisions for the organization helps the organization function more smoothly. Structure consists of making sure everyone is assigned to a specific role and that they do what that role entails.
