NSCI 110 WEEK 3 POSTNSCI 110 Origins of the Cosmos11 July 2019Group Discussion Week #3I can understand that Pope Francis was trying to wave off the idea that science has tried to disprove the theory of a God and the creation of the world through God. However, I think the science is one of the many things that we can cling to that proves God’s existence. It comes with a balance of knowing yourself and the faith you have with God. Faith itself is trust and knowing what you believe and trusting that your beliefs are true to you! Not all science is out there to disprove God and His existence. For example, “It’s also clear on a few occasions that the entire inhabited surface of the earth could be visible from one extraterrestrial vantage point. The Gospel of Mark describes the coming of the Son of Man with the clouds as an event that will be visible to everyone, at which time angels will “gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven” (Mark 13:27).
