2 For this assignment, I have chosen to discuss my creative process when chosen to lead special projects within my department. In the grants field, the opportunity to be creative is limited, therefore, when the occasion arises it is important to take full advantage ofthe opportunity. Author Popova (n.d.) described Graham Wallace’s four stages of the creative process as preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. During the preparation stage, the problem is investigated and resources are gathered to form new ideas (Popova, n.d.). Normally, when I am looking for new ideas I search the web to see what others are doing, as well as, inquire with fellow employees who were tasked with the project in the previous year. While preparing for projects, ideas that have not been executed previously are noted to revisit the next year. I take
