2 Week 1 In week 1 we explored various definitions of creativity, our personal definition of creativity, the backgrounds of those who are considered to be creative, creative communication and how creativity can be used and improved in our everyday life. My takeaways from this week's discussions and assignments are that there are variations of the definition of creativity, however, they all are consistent with introducing something new or solving a problem. When exploring my creative side there is a process that should be taken to properly explore new ideas that through proper research and feedback can be successfully executed. In creative communication, I have learned that there are various ways to deliver a message to your audience. As a manager it is important to know who your audience is and the best way to effectively deliver a message with clarity. The course project requires me to design a creative brief that addresses a communication need for a special audience. I will address the requirements for this project by utilizing Graham Wallace’s four stages of the creative process. Utilizing the four stages of the creative process will assist in the selection of a topic that is appropriate and caters to the need of my audience. The first step that I will take to create my problem statements is conduct thorough research and educate myself on the topic at hand. Having the proper knowledge on the issue at hand will assist me in selecting an appropriate approach to the problem. Week 2 The digital divide is those who have access to telecommunications and information technology and those who do not (Access to Telecommunications Technology: Bridging the Digital Divide in the United States, 2013).
