He’s pacing and thinking about what has happened recently as the civil war is close toending. On that night, April 2, 1865, it's said that Lincoln woke up from a dream of seeinghimself in his own casket. He was on that boat going to see parts of the south that had been takenover. He only has 13 days left on on earth.Secretary of State Seward had just been in a carriage accident recent. His jaw was brokenin two places and his arm was fractured.
