We believe in the story of God and Jesus Christ. A worldview is the “set of assumptions or beliefs about reality that affect how we think and how we live” (Lecture 1, 2017). Worldviews are like the foundationof a building. They create the start of a belief. Worldview is seen through a person eyes through their lenses (Waddell, 2015). A Christian worldview is made up of different parts like we view the universe as an open system. Because we have developed our own worldviews, we tend to liveby those morals and see things how we want to see them. The Gospel Essentials all are part of how we formed our worldviews as Christians today. The Essentials include God, Humanity, Jesus, Restoration, Analysis, and Reflection.GodIn the Christian worldview God is our ultimate reality. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight” (Proverbs 9:10 ESV). God is our sovereign it means that God existed before he created the universe. He has authority and power over everything (Lecture 2, 2017). God is our Trinity, the father, the son, and the holy spirit. He is love. God is all-powerful, holy, faithful, and good. Shows that he is eternal and infinite (Diffey, 2015).“In the beginning God created heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1 ESV). God spoke the word and by his will everything was created. He created earth in 6 days. The 1

He created an image of male and female that represented him. “And God saw everything he made, and behold, it was very good” (Genesis 1:31).HumanityHuman nature is what it means to be a human. We were meant for a specific purpose (Hiles & Smith, 2015). The purpose of God creating humanity was to work and serve. To obey and worship God and his word.Having a relationship and connection with God himself. For humans to flourish in a spiritual well-being they have to worship and pray to him. The root of human problems was the separation from God. Adam and Eve were comfortable when God camearound they could be naked and not ashamed. Then when Adam and Eve betrayed God they felt his wrath. The shame and embarrassment they felt whenever they heard God’s voice they hid from him (Genesis 3:10 ESV). Adam and Eve did change who they were just not in the way they imagined (Diffey, 2015). Another problem was the curse that Adam and Eve suffered. A cursed
