2 Peace and tranquility are the joy of every soul, while fear and acute distress are repugnant to the soul. When calamity befalls humankind, may be due to natural disaster, war, hate, sexual abuse, fear, hunger, loss of wealth, loss of property, death of loved ones or close relatives, car accident, assault and so on, any of these overwhelming incident might lead to trauma. No matter what the source of the trauma, the result is usually PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), which then becomes the fuel that pushes people to abuse substances or develop depression. So, understanding the effects of trauma upon the body and soul of someone who has been traumatized is a key to offer healing to such individual.
