Christopher Anosike Professor Palpalini Description of the film "The Paper Chase" is centered on a rowdy, smart first-year student at Harvard Law School. The movie respects its hero, respects the school, and most of all respects the venerable Professor Kingsfield, tyrant of contract law. The movie creates a depiction of Harvard law graduates, who fall into the categories that we would typically recall from school: 1) the geniuses who get everything right but will go forth to lead lives of awkwardness and blandness; 2) the intellectual, who will pass or fail entirely on the basis of whether they're able to put up with the work; 3) those who have a keen sense of memory, who can remember everything but connect nothing; 4) the students whose laziness will somehow carry them through; and 5) the ones who have no sort of hope. Meanwhile Hart, the movie's hero, is intellectual. My take I think that focusing on the negative aspects of law school doesn’t do any justice to prospective law students.
