Keep in mind that it’s important to inspire confidence and be empathetic towards your staff to maximize their creativity. You should not be direct and saying that they’re idea is bad but perhaps emerge them with a better idea. It’s important to motivate your staff and encourage them to participate. What is the best way to handle team members who challenge the leader’s authority? The best way to handle team members to challenge the leader’s authority is to allow the team members to disagree and try to understand where the disconnect is rather than become offended.
