2 SOCIAL CHANGES IN AMERICA Introduction It’s no secret there have been some changes socially under the presidency of Donald Trump. President Trump’s leadership, or lack thereof has shaken America in more ways than one. In just two short years, American citizens, especially women and people of color have experienced a leader who is openly against them. In two years, America has experienced division amongst races, a ban against people from the middle east, a call to “build the wall” against Mexico all in the name of “safety.” In a racially charged climate, racial tensions are at an all-time high. During his candidacy, his slogan was “make America great again,” but it appears he’s done everything but. In this analysis we’ll take a look at his damaging attitudes against women, people of color, immigrants, minorities and members of the LGBTQ community as well as his political ideals, leadership style, desired change practices, concepts of leadership needed, and the outcomes and impact of his leadership. Attitudes Causing Racial Division One thing we can’t accuse Donald Trump of is not speaking his mind. From the way he interacts with media reporters shutting down their questions and referring to them as “stupid” and “fake news” to the way he uses his twitter account. While honesty as a leader is greatly appreciated, it’s imperative to remain respectful and level headed in all situations. Leaders will not always agree
