1. Introduction - Learning – relatively durable change in behavior or knowledge that is due to experience. One of the most fundamental concepts in psych. - Superstitions are an example of operant conditioning (a result of obtaining a reward after engaging in some behaviour, even if the reward and behaviour aren’t linked) - Learning is a fundamental concept because it’s pervasive in the animal world too, and the principles that explain learned responses in animals explain much of human learning - Conditioning – learning associations between events that occur in an organism’s environment (includes superstitions) - Phobias – irrational fears of specific objects or situations, often the result of classical conditioning - type of anxiety disorder - Agoraphobia- intense fear of being in public places where it may be difficult to escape from or in which it might be difficult to obtain help 2. Classical Conditioning type of learning in which a stimulus acquires the capacity to evoke a response that was originally evoked by another stimulus.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
