Personal Leadership Portfolio – Part 3 Part 3: Leadership Traits & Skills (See Appendix II). ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Articulate 4.4 3 Inner interpretation should be improved, based on large variation. The five other people asked to evaluate me found me to be more articulate than I thought I was. I believe I can improve my articulation by improving my communication skills. It is interesting to find out that I come off as more articulate than I originally thought I do and this can help me improve this attribute. ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Perceptive 4.6 4 Not much variance between results. My judgement of my perceptiveness was quite similar to the way that others think as well. I believe this is an area I can improve on, even though others see me as more perceptive than I see myself. ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Self-Confident 5 4 Inner interpretation can be improved. Others find me to be more self-confident than I find myself to be. I do believe in myself, but sometimes I find myself second-guessing my abilities. I would like to be as self-confident as possible as this would help me be a better leader. ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Self-Assured 4.4 4 Not much variance between results. Most of the time, I do not doubt myself or my abilities, but occasionally this does still happen. It is amazing to know that I come across as self-assured to others around me as this is an essential quality in many great leaders. ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Persistent 4.8 5 Not much variance between results. I am very driven to complete any goals I make for myself. I make the best attempts to
ignore any distractions that could set me off the path I have made to achieve these goals. Since the average of the people I asked was lower than the score I gave myself, I can definitely improve this attribute. ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Determined 4.8 5 Not much variance between results. Especially in leadership situations, I try to be certain about my actions. I believe in having strength and radiating that to your followers to enhance their respect. I want to motivate myself as well as others so we can together, as a team, reach the highest level of success. This questionnaire has shown me that many people believe I am as determined as I believe I am. ATTRIBUTE OTHER SELF REMARK Trustworthy 5 5 Same results. I pride myself on being trustworthy, no matter the relationship or situation. Trust is essential for any strong relationship, and it is one of my best attributes. I have dealt with untrustworthy people in the past, and I vowed to never put someone in the situations I have been in. I am glad to see that others find me to be trustworthy as well. Being seen as trustworthy can help me in leadership roles.
