2 EXPERIMENT EXAMPLE PAPER #1 Introduction The title of the journal article that I found is Mistaken Eyewitness Identification Rates Increase When Either Witnessing or Testing Conditions Get Worse. The authors and researches of this experiment are Andrew Smith, Miko Wilford, Adele Quigley-McBride, and Gary Wells. The pages of the text where the experiment is on pages 364 to 365. I chose to research this article because I am majoring in Criminal Justice, and I think that this was an exciting experiment that will be useful for me to know in the future. At the beginning of the journal article, it asked the question “why do eyewitnesses mistakenly identify innocent persons?” (Smith, Wilford, Quigley-McBride, & Wells, 2019) Knowing that I am going into the criminal justice field, I know that it is crucial to arrest the right culprit, and sometimes it comes down to an eyewitness statement, and we have to be able to trust them.
