DANIEL GOLEMAN HAS GIVEN POPULARITY THROUGH HIS BOOK CALLED “EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE”IN 1995. ACCORDING TO DANIEL GOLEMAN “A CLUSTER OF TRAITS OR ABILITY RELATING TO THE EMOTIONAL SIDE OF LIFE”. MAJOR COMPONENTS OF E.I. GOLEMAN (1995) SUGGESTS EI GOLEMAN (1995) SUGGESTS EI CONSIST OF FIVE MAJOR PARTS; KNOWING OUR OWN EMOTIONS MANAGING OUR OWN EMOTIONS MOTIVATING OURSELVES RECOGNIZING AND INFLUENCING OTHERS EMOTIONS HANDLING RELATIONS KNOWING OUR OWN EMOTIONS SOME PEOPLE ARE HIGHLY AWARE OF THEIR OWN EMOTIONS AND THOUGHTS. SELF AWARENESS THE ABILITY TO READ ONE’S EMOTIONS AND RECOGNIZE THEIR IMPACT WHILE TAKING DECISIONS. SELF- MANAGEMENT CONTROLLING ONE’S EMOTIONS AND IMPULSES AND ADAPTING TO CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES. MANAGING OUR OWN EMOTIONS WE CONTROL OUR TEMPER OR TEARS WHEN WE DO NOT WANT TO SHOW . SOMETIMES WE DO SOMETHING TO CHEER UP OURSELVES . I.E WE ARE TRYING TO MANAGE OUR EMOTIONS. SO OUR MENTAL HEALTH AND OUR INTERACTIONS WILL BE GOOD. MOTIVATING OURSELVES SIMPLY PUTTING HARDWORK ON ANY GIVEN TASK DOES NOT GUARENTEE SUCCESS. BEING ABLE TO MOTIVATE ONESELF TO WORK LONG AND HARD ON A TASK ,REMAINING ENTHUSIASTIC AND OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE FINAL OUTCOME . RECOGNIZING AND INFLUENCING OTHERS EMOTIONS ABILITY TO ‘READ’ OTHERS ACCURATELY. THE MOOD OR THE EMOTIONS THEY ARE EXPERIENCING. THIS ABILITY IS VERY VALUABLE IN MANY PRACTICAL SETTINGS. SOCIAL AWARENESS ABILITY TO SENSE ,UNDERSTAND AND REACT TO OTHER’S EMOTIONS. HANDLING RELATIONSHIPS SOME PEOPLE GET ALONG VERYWELL WITH OTHERS AND LIKED BY ALL.
