DMI: Hypothesis Maya Dras Hypothesis Students that get more hours of sleep have higher grades. I believe my hypothesis to be true, because poor sleeping habits can lead to sleep deprivation which affects an individual's mood, energy level, learning abilities, and the ability to focus, therefore, the number of sleep hours can significantly affect the academic performance. Data The main data that is going to be collected is the number of hours of sleep and the student's current average mark. This data can be collected by directly asking the students or by letting them fill out an online questionnaire. Other factors that can affect the average mark are: - Age (grade 9-12 ) - Part-time job / extracurricular activities - Amount of time spent on studying The age of a student determines which grade they are in.
