Introduction: The goal of this lab was to measure the conductivity between the reaction of sulfuric acid and barium hydroxide, then use those values to determine the equivalence point of the reaction. The equivalence point is the point on the graph where the pH of the solution changes from acidic pH to a basic pH. As the reaction is occurring, a solid precipitate is formed as one of the products. The reaction in this experiment between sulfuric acid and barium hydroxide is: Ba 2+ (aq) + 2 OH - (aq) + 2 H + (aq) + SO 4 2- (aq) BaSO 4 (s) + 2 H 2 O( l) . The precipitate in this reaction
