Purpose: The purpose of this lab was to investigate the reactivity of various metals using a series of reactions. From this, the goal was to determine the periodic trends of the elements. Experimental Methods: For information on how to exactly perform the lab, see the lab instructions that are listed for Experiment #9. Data and Observations: The table below shows the results of the reactions of the various metals. An “X” signifies that no reaction was visible. A gray box signifies that the elements are the same and were not mixed.
