Running head: ETHICAL ISSUES IN EMPLOYMENT LAW 2 Ethical Issues in Employment Law In the world of employment law there are many ethical issues employees and employers can experience. It’s important as an employer to eliminate ethical issues from the work place. When these issues arise, there can be legal repercussions. Therefore, being aware of employment law is important when managing a business. In my experience in the workforce, as an employee and employer, I faced the most ethical issues as an employee. Roughly 9 years ago I was working at a McDonalds. At this time, I was 16 and in High School. The main ethical issues I faced at this job was the hours I was working. Not only was I often forced to work 10-hour days, I was forced to stay late on school nights as well as work midnights on the weekends from 10p-6a. This schedule, at the time, was nonnegotiable.
