ENVIRON 110.012 Lab 7- Climate Change Oct. 31, 2007 Climate Change Global warming has recently become a passionate topic for debate;  adamant as the activists are the skeptics.  Skeptics may argue against the  impending doom of our planet, arguing that there have always been natural  climate variations.  There are cold periods, ice ages, and the Earth heats up  again.  They argue that we must be in a natural cycle; what warms up will cool  down again.  Climate change isn’t a problem; it’s just the weather.  The melting  ice caps shouldn’t raise sea level because the volume of ice and water are the  same.  It’s just like a melting ice cube. The skeptic might argue that a few  degrees warmer won’t even matter.  The temperature goes up a few degrees  each day, so why would it matter over time?  What would be wrong with a  warmer planet, and less severe winters?  Wouldn’t it improve tourism in areas
