-1 Philosophy Exam Review Descartes Review Ÿ What is the best distributed thing in the world?  Good Sense  Ÿ  Properly speaking, what do people call “good sense” or “reason”? The power of judging well and distinguishing the true from the false.  Ÿ  Descartes says he is putting forward this essay as what?  A discourse  Ÿ What does theology teach? How to reach heaven.  Ÿ What does philosophy provide?  For a person to talk plausibly and make other people think that he is  smarter than everyone else.  Ÿ Why did Descartes delight most of all in mathematics?  Because it has answers.  Ÿ What did Descartes deem to be well-nigh false?  That there were many opinions about the same think and not just  one  could be true.
