5.2 Discussion: Personnel En-Chi, Kang 2019/6/26 Team members are the heart of the project; therefore, it is important to gather the right and proper people together to conduct the project. And it is the project manager’s responsibility to gather the right people together. Before hiring or interviewing any person, there are several things that a project manager must know. In the first place, the project manager should know the particular skills that are needed in the project. For instance, the technical skills in a specific discipline, such as market research, finance, or software programming. Or problem-solving skills which enable individuals to analyze difficult situations or impasses and to craft solutions. Or other organizational skills, including networking, communicating well with other parts of the company (Harvard Business Review. 2016). To be more specific, the project manager should know about the project and understand what skills are needed and will help the project.
