Discussion ForumThe notetaking strategy I used when taking notes for Chapter 5, Reading to Learn in the CollegeSuccess textbook is the Cornell Method. This notetaking strategy seemed to be the easiest for meto understand. I like the idea of starting with questions in the left column which then guide me tothe notes I take in the right column. I found utilizing the summary box really helped me to pullall my written thoughts together.In my notetaking, I used a combination of the Lists strategy, diagrams and bullet points. Usingthis method allows me to write information down in a fashion that makes sense to me. For thisassignment, this seemed to work well.I didn’t choose the Lists strategy as I have taken notes in this fashion before and along withgetting writer's cramps, I feel as if I am writing a book.I often feel when using this method thatI write way more than I need to so that I don’t miss anything.
