Pine straw is primarily produced through the proper management of longleaf and slash pine. This company will specialize in the efficient harvesting and supply of pine straw at low cost. Pine straw is principally used for landscape applications as a mulch, dirt cover in flowerbeds, and aesthetic purposes. Although pine straw is used in many instances as a mulch, the market demand for it is becoming more for pine straw as a ground cover. The occurrence of this is in large part due to the pine straw mulch having to be replaced more frequently than products such as shredded bark. Straw Spets, Inc. is a competitive business due to its low priced bales of pine straw.
