The report fundamentally depicts the internal and external condition of the Woolworths and tells how the organization utilize various resources to make the business effective and unique .firstly this report takes every strategic analysis to achieve growth and so analysis reveals that the purpose of Woolworths to get the customer attention by applying different strategies to achieve high profits and increased market share. However by analysing its internal environment it has been observed that Woolworths has good brand name and reputation, a large number of stores and good management efficiency. Apart from its internal market external environment is also responsible for a Australian market and Woolworths performance through economic and political conditions. Additionally, it has been discovered that the competitor challenge has been influencing the Woolworths from multiple points of view and the organization is compelled to change its techniques in the market. At last analysis indicates that Woolworths should continually innovative in order to get more customer base. Hence to stay competitive in market it should close those divisions that are not performing well, it should consider acquisition with Aldi as it remains third power in retail Australian market.

1. Introduction Woolworths supermarkets/Woolworths is a Australian largest supermarket chain. Woolworths was founded in 1924 and It is one of the few big companies operating in retail sector and so accounts for almost 80% of country’s market. It is a large integrate provider of retail and leisure as they are best known for their supermarket operations such as selling vegetables, , meals, packaged food is the company specialization not only this they also sell magazines, health products, beauty products , household products, baby products and many more. Their target market is middle and upper income groups for men, women and kids. 2. Evaluating organization environment External environment: Porters five forces model a) Bargaining power of customers: The bargaining power of customers is very high as buyers are very demanding as they want to buy best product by paying the low price as possible because due to many retailers customers has more options to buy from. So this tends to put high pressure on Woolworths profitability.
