McNeil Jr, was said to say there has been a surge of Polio cases in Pakistan and Afghanistan. As of July,2019 there has been 42 Polio paralysis cases between the two countries. According to McNeil 32 of them were in Pakistan, Which, leads you to believe the other 10 were in Afghanistan. Those infected with the paralyzed virus are mostly kids, under the age of 5. McNeil also said that there’s about 20,000 children born in Pakistan each day. The people of Pakistan and Afghanistan are contracting the virus due to the lack of knowledge.
