GENERATIONAL DIFFERENCES 2 The criminal justice system covers many types of law enforcement agencies or departments. Law enforcement, such as the police, corrections, and the courts all work together to create an environment that is safe for the community. Though these agencies and departments all have different responsibilities and goals, they all work toward one common goal. Protecting the innocent and helping victims, prosecuting the guilty, providing rehabilitation services and sentencing punishment to criminals. Management, organizations and leadership are all important to the criminal justice system, each having their respective role. Additionally, there are different generations of personnel in criminal justice organizations. These variations of generations this day and age take attention to detail and techniques to make them all work together Management, Organizations, Leadership Management can be described as planning goals and specifying the purpose of the agency; organizing people, finances, resources, and activities; staffing, training, and socializing employees; leading the organization and the staff; and controlling, monitoring, and sanctioning when needed (Allen, 2019).
