Give some examples of the links between economic factors and health. In the current year, which infectious diseases account for the most mortality in low-income countries? The most morbidity? World Health Organization (WHO) has delineated three most important determinants of health viz. 1. The Social and economic environment 2. The physical environment 3. The person’s individual characteristics and behaviors. Some of these determinants are controllable whereas some are not. Thereby, health inequality and health inequity come into picture.
