Alicia Rockwood 8/4/2019 Reflection Journal: Performance Evalution from both sides When doing a performance evaluation from both sides, a manager and an employee have many feelings. I have never been a manager but thinking back to when I had an employee evaluation can be frightening. “Assessment of nurse performance plays an important role in guaranteeing high quality clinic care to achieve desired patient outcome s.” (Emin&Nurten,2018) It's important to do evaluations once a year to look at the positive and negative strengths of the employee. When getting feedback, the employee shouldn’t feel like the negatives are bashing them or etc. but looking at what could be improved. “Competence and competency have been used in the literature to describe various clinical skills as related to nurses’ performance, including quality of care and productivity.” (Emin&Nurten,2018) Looking where the employee needs guidance to better themselves helps patients we care for.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
