Mod 4 Visual Redesign & Reflection Memo 1 Memorandum To: ENGL 221 Class From: Christopher Carlson Subject: Module 4 – Reflection: Designing Visuals Date: Aug 30, 2018 Purpose: To outline, explain, and depict example changes made for the presentation of the three points of data the FAASTeam has previously provided, as well as remove ambiguity. Explanation: Tiffany Marcus’ visual presentation has been revised for several reasons. She divided her presentation graph into two separate crash modes, of which Human Error, Mechanical, and Weather categorized Crash Mode 1, and Birds categorized Crash Mode 2. Her graph presentation may have been a good representation had the intent be to show the difference between plane crashes caused by birds versus the remaining three causes. The title crash mode was corrected to reflect “Causes of Small Plane Crashes”, as well as sub title of, mechanical to mechanical failure, and weather to severe weather, and finally added some visualization to the data.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
