Causes of Poverty Many Hmong people came from immigrant backgrounds and were unskilled and uneducated Many jobs Hmong Americans had were outsourced to developing nations, including skilled jobs Language barrier amongst the older generations tend to disparage job opportunities Follows the trend of many other refugee populations

Causes Crime and Delinquency Cont. Hmong culture promoted over protectiveness of parents, but it creates a larger divide between Hmong adolescents, increasing delinquent behavior when the adolescents deviated from the high expectations
