Writing and Computers Writing is an ancient human process of communication that takes time and effort to be perfected. However, the world is rapidly progressing and technology today significantly affects this skill. Writing now transcends the traditional pen and paper to tweeting and online blogging , and those are just few of the many possibilities writing and technology has to offer. A study conducted at Yogtakarta State University, Indonesia on the effect of using web blogs on the writing skills of students found that “… the use of Weblog had improved the students’ writing skills in the English teaching and learning process” (Meisarah, 2014). This is one evidence that not only technology eases the writing process for the students, it also positively affects them. The movement towards the reality that these technological tools such as Facebook , Textile , Writeboard , and even word processors in Microsoft Office is now prevailing towards the facilitation of assessments to writing and even teacher editing and feedback.
