Prerequisite: (A grade of “C” or better in MAT140 or MAT141 or MAT142) or (A grade of “C” or better in MAT150 or MAT151 or MAT152) or equivalent, or satisfactory score on District placement exam. Course Competencies: Link to course competencies: - for-curriculum-transfer-articulation/curriculum/degrees- certificates/course-search Technology Skills Needed: You will need the ability to use a web browser and open word documents and files contained in the course as attached files. Word Documents: You will need Microsoft Word or be able to use a word viewer to view and access the word documents contained in this course. Materials: A calculator that is equivalent to a TI-83 plus is needed for this course. Models include TI-83, TI-83 plus, TI-84, TI-84 plus. Purchase an access code and register for PearsonMyLab for Homework. Calculators: A TI-83 or TI-84 is required for this course. A calculator can be rented from the Math Solution for a fee of $20 per semester. You are not permitted to use any smart phones, PDAs, notebook computers, or any other form of technology other than the TI calculator.

Grading Scale : 90 – 100% A 80 – 89.9% B 70 – 79.9% C 60 – 69.9% D Below 60% F Final grade weighting calculation: Homework – 20%, Online Quizzes – 30%, Proctored Exams – 50%. Final grade calculation: (Homework %)(.20) + (Online Quiz %)(.30) + (Proctored Exam %)(.50) = final %.
