Victoria Pazmino 12/3/18 Brian Lee Hailey, known as the omelet guy at Bridgewater College, was charged with first degree murder after stabbing Bruce Dysart, a 19-year-old, in the chest with an 8-inch knife on October 25, 2017. After going to the courtroom, listening to the facts, and seeing the evidence being presented, it was fascinating to see how everything was all laid out. The trial began Tuesday, October 23 and wasn’t supposed to end until Friday, October 26. They finished a day earlier. Jurors came to a verdict, declaring Hailey guilty of second-degree murder, which was a lesser charge than what he was originally faced with, so for him, it’s a much better charge. To be able to go to the court and observe everything going on was breathtaking. From when I was younger to now, I have always found such interest in Law and Order.
